The Wessels

It is pretty amazing that God directed a boy from Texas and girl from Iowa to the same small Christian university in Arkansas.  We met at John Brown University, became friends, fell in love and married in 1998.  After a few years of Parrish working for Kraft Foods in supply chain and Kelli completing her MBA and working at the Soderquist Center for Leadership and Ethics, we moved to South Korea.  After a wonderful year of teaching English, serving at an international church and traveling throughout East Asia, we spent a couple of months backpacking through SE Asia.  It was during this period that our shared love for the nations, our passion for justice, our heart for the fatherless, our hunger to experience the

power and love of Jesus and our desire to see people walk in freedom was fanned into flames in our lives.

This was also the first time we had encountered the faces of sex slavery.  We saw the men, women and children not as statistics but as lives and we were wrecked.  We cried out to God for His heart, His perspective and His plan.  Over the last 6 years, we have grown through the refining and revelation of the Holy Spirit and our hunger has grown to love and be loved by our Father.

Since returning to the States, Parrish has worked in sales for Kraft Foods and currently for LeapFrog.  We have also been blessed with two children Nash (4) and Nora (3).  They are gifts and they have been gifted with great measures of compassion, discernment, love, creativity and passion.  It is with joy and hope that we, as a family, get to partner with God in bringing deliverance and restoration to those in bondage.  By faith, we look ahead and see delivered ones leading the Body, changing nations and living as sons and daughters of the King!
